I've been in education for many years, over 30, and after COVID, I decided I needed a break from teaching. I then went into the medical field and worked at a clinic facility as a front desk associate and also as a concierge for 3 different providers. I loved my job, and would still be there, but my husband and I moved up to Eureka to get out of the Flathead Valley but still be close to the beauty of this area. After moving to Eureka I got a job working at another medical company and worked as a dispatcher for a mobile imaging company. Also enjoyed this job too, but decided after a year to pursue other opportunities. Wasn't sure what I was going to do, but here I am, back to teaching again. Being back in the classroom has brought me happiness and I enjoy working with the kids again.
I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but have spent most of my life in Georgia. I graduated from Valdosta State College in 1973 and began a long and satisfying teaching career. I married Bob Sutton in 1972 and we had one son, Scotty, who has blessed me with 7 grandchildren! I taught for 52 years in Georgia and then retired and moved to Montana with Scotty, his wife Sarah, and my two youngest grandchildren, Liam and Finley. I was blessed when the part time job came available at Trego teaching math. I teach 4th through 8th grade math which is a big change for me since I have been teaching Calculus and Trigonometry to Juniors and Seniors for many years. I love the students at Trego and working with the dedicated teachers and staff.

Sam is our Science and Art Teacher. In addition to having a Masters of Business Administration, Sam is a licensed 5-12 science teacher. Sam loves hands on science, something frequently missing in many classrooms, but with our small size, that piece is far easier to implement.
